Some Bad News
I just received this email. It pretty much says it all.
The Pro Tour ain't happening this year.

Hi there

I am so sorry to have to be the one to write this letter to you all, but due to a lack of sponsors, the Australian Pro Tour of Wakeboarding will not run in 2010.

We had a few sponsors on board who were willing to support the Australian comp season, but unfortunately we were unable to raise enough to cover costs.

We tried, but no joy unfortunately.

Thank you to all those who chose to stick by us and try to make this work.

Especially Masterline/Liquid Force, Black Diamond Wakeboard School and Jetpilot who have been with us from the very beginning.

The face of Australian wakeboarding has changed so dramatically over the past few years, and while 2010 is currently looking like a quiet season, we have high hopes that in the near future the wakeboarding community can band together again to keep the sport heading in the right direction.

With Wake Wars now officially the only boat comp left in Australia this season, the WWAA are going to help me to create an Australian Title Pro/Am Competition.

All Divisions will be covered in both Pro and Amateur categories and winners of all divisions will automatically qualify for the Worlds.

There will also be a stash-o-cash up for grabs in the Pro categories thanks to the support of the WWAA.

I will have more info about this in the next week or so and I will email you details as soon as I have them.

Thanks to everyone who has supported Pro Tour over the years, I don’t know about you guys but I am very sad to see it go.
